ShareCRF 2.6 new features and updates

Before the end of 2018, we are publishing a new version of our eCRF platform with several improvements focused on improving interoperability with other systems, the usability of the electronic case report form and increasing the configuration options of the eCRF editor.

SAS data exportation

On this new version, we have added the option to export the data of the study in SAS format, completely ready to be used with the statistical program SAS through the addition of a SAS syntax file. This allows easy and simple importation of the data at the same time that keeps traceability of the data importation process from the origin to the SAS program through the syntax files.

Improvements when adding the reason for the change (Audit Trail)

We have improved the request made for the reason of the change to the studies that have enabled this option in the Audit Trail module. With this new improvement, when the user changes existing patient’s data, the system will request the reason for that change in a modal window in which the introduction of the change reason cannot be postponed. This new behaviour improves the usability of the eCRF as well as the security to comply with the regulatory standards.

In addition, we have improved the information displayed in the eCRF regarding the reason for the change pending still to be saved, being more elegant and easier to read, and maintaining the options to be able to edit the reason for the change indicated previously before saving the data.

Possibility to use predefined answers for queries

With this new improvement, you will be able to predefine the values for the answers in the queries, being able to predefine different answer reasons for each phase of the resolution of the query (opening, response and closing). This new improvement can be customisable on each eCRF to facilitate the process of managing queries.

New options which facilitate multiple CRF versions within the same study

With this new release, you will be able to create multiple eCRF versions in the simplest way possible. Use ShareCRF powerful rule engine to configure either which fields you would like to hide from specific sites or that the new changes added in the middle of the study are only applied to the patients who are going to be created after the release of the new eCRF version. Create multiple versions of the eCRD using the site associated with the patient, the site code associated or a pattern (it starts with …, it finishes with, … contains … etc) and depending on the version of the eCRF used at the time the patient was created.

Clean the field value when hiding it

We have added a new option in the hiding rule of a field, which allows indicating if the content of that field should be cleaned when the field is hidden by the result of running a rule. With this new improvement, we have simplified the task of hiding a value and clean its content because before you needed extra rules to achieve the same behaviour.

Disable rules and actions

New feature that allows you to disable actions and rules. From now on, if you would like to test different behaviours of the rules, there is no need to delete those rules and create them again in case of need, you will only have to disable the actions and rules you no longer want to be in the published CRF. The advantage of this is that those disable elements will remain in the eCRF configuration just in case you would like to enable them again.

Date of creation and last modification added in the patient list

With this new release, you will have the opportunity to configure the appearance of the creation date and last date modification of the patient in the patient’s listing.

Patient queries summary

New queries table summary inside the patient’s query section. This table displays how many queries the patient has and the status of their statuses.

Download listings in Excel: Users, Sites, Profiles and Groups

Download the content of the Control Panel Access management listing in Excel: Users, Sites, Profiles and Groups. To download them you only have to use the button that is in the lower left part of the list and the data associated with the results of the list will be downloaded.

Improvements when dragging elements from and to a repetition list

We have improved our dragging tool from the CRF visual editor so that when you drag an element of the CRF either from or to a repetition list, ShareCRF automatically adjust the rules created previously associated to the element to the new scope and situation. For this, ShareCRF analyzes the type of rules and the associated values in the conditions of the rules to make the best decision and help in the process of transforming the structure of the CRF.
